Back in 2018, I burned out on the traditional freelancer model.

Hard.

After eight years of growing my branding and web design business from nothing, I’d cracked the code on finding clients and landing 5-figure design projects.

With dozens of testimonials and a portfolio I was proud of, my confidence was up, imposter syndrome was gone, and I even landed a few podcast interviews!

From the outside looking in, most would think I’d ‘made it’.

But the reality was, chasing after that lifestyle of freedom was killing me.

Too overwhelmed with the client work already on my plate, finding the time to draft an itemized proposal felt impossible, but I needed the income. So out of desperation, I replied along the lines of, “How about you pay me for a day, and I’ll do as much as I can?“

To my complete surprise, she not only agreed, but she LOVED this idea.

She paid in full, we got it all done over two half days, and even though it was far from perfect or planned, it was the best experience I’d ever had with a client.

Instantly, I knew I wanted to sell more days like this.

It took a while to get this new offer dialed in just right, but when I did, everything changed.
